With the latest update for Transformers Animated only a few hours away we've not forgotten about the largest Transformers resource outside of America, Transformers At The Moon.

We're well known for the 2000 + Transformers toys featured in our Transformers Toy Galleries area, but there are lots of other areas to Transformers At The Moon which may not have visited. These updates highlight a few of those forgotten areas.

Transformers Prototypes and Concept Art

A new gallery has been created featuring our Exclusive Beast Wars Two Character Guide sheets. These sheets featured some of the designs for the characters for both the toy and cartoon series.

Transformers Toy Sheet Scans

Two updates in this area, the first is a scan of a very rare Generation One Japanese Micromaster sheet (only available with Japanese Micromasters). This is scanned under Japanese Sheet 13.

The second is our first Transformers Super Link toysheet scan.

Transformers Character Profile Cards

Although there are only two, we've got to get around to scanning the rest, we've no opened our Transformers Super Link Profile Cards section, to go along with the Collectors Edition one, in our Miscellaneous Transformers Gallery area (in which you can find hundreds of images of various Transformers Merchandise).

The Character and Toy sections of Transformers Animated.com is back up and running, with even more images and characters for you to find.

There are over 1130 images you can find within the Transformers Animated character section of the world's premier Transformers Animated resource.

You'll notice that the character images from both the Cartoon and Toy Image areas on Transformers Animated is currently not available. This is due to some work going on at the moment, recategorising and naming of the images. The work has been completed and we're now re-uploading the pictures, which include additions to several characters and new areas for Soundwave and Hedmaster.

TransformersAnimated.com has undergone a transformation and now sports a fresh new look as well as improved navigation, and even more content. The site has been completely re-written, though all of your old bookmarks will still work. We feel that that site is now cleaner, crisper and hope that you like it.

Please note that there are a few CSS bugs in IE browsers which we are working to fix ASAP. These included IE6's lack of support for transparent PNGs, as well as some general CSS flaws in the Microsoft browser.

Ãœber Transformers Optimus Prime collector, Ultra Convoy, has now finally made his website accessible to the public. For those of you who have not heard of Ultra Prime, he is a hard-core collector of all things Optimus Prim, including Lucky Draws, prototypes, testshots and those "very special items". For years Transformers fans visited the website of Elvin Pena, another well known collector, and who was generally accepted to have the most comprehensive collection of Optimus Prime / Convoy figures in the world. Various US Transformers websites are reporting that Hasbrotoyshop.com have sent out their latest mail catalog this week which includes listings for Transformers Animated Deluxes, Cybertron Mode Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Lockdown and Prowl will be $9.99 and Voyagers Starscream and Cybertron Mode Megatron will be $19.99.

They add that representatives on their toll-free line tell fans these highly in-demand toys will be live on their website on March 25, just a week from today!

The toys are very simplistic, but keep with the Transformers Animated matt finish.

Simon Furman has updated his blog with another script (w)rap, this time regarding the forthcoming Wheelie spotlight. In the post, Simon talks about how he reverted to an old Marvel-style plot writing process which he describes as "wherein you describe whole scenes, broken down in clutches of pages, and then hand it over to the artist. Then, once the art comes along, you add in the dialog. Of course, a lot of that dialog is already there, based on our back-and-to discussions and Klaus’s own breakdown-stage notes. It’s been a fun and refreshing change of pace, and I’m looking forward to stage 2, which is pulling all the dialog together as finished pages roll in.".

What can you expect from the Wheelie spotlight, well Simon's description is probably the best thing to go by. Its is a "character-led story for a start. For a large part, it’s just Wheelie, doing his level best to survive against all the odds. Then there’s a certain trio of Decepticons making their debut, plus a last-but-one page shocker that’ll just floor you! And ties into stuff that’s in the works for 09 and beyond! Oh, and we even get into why (by the end of the issue at least) Wheelie talks in rhyming couplets."
