An auction has appeared on ebay confirming the profile for Transformers Animated Safeguard, the combined form of Jetfire and Jetstorm.

Bio: "Created using the most advanced techniques known to autobot science, jetstorm and jetfire were cloned from tech recovered from starscream. Brought online in a secret laboratory deep beneath cybertron, they are the first autobots created specifically to battle the decepticons. Though they are young, they are extremely intelligent, working their way through the Elite Guard boot camp in record time. Together they are potentially the most powerful Autobots of all time, especially when they combine into their Safeguard form."

TFClub board member chenkofs have posted the first in packaging images of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Knock out figure.  The images include the characters profile which reads as the following:

"Though he is an incredibly flashy and skilled fighter, KNOCK OUT is also desperately insecure. He practices awesome combat maneuvers constantly in private to be sure that the other Autobots will notice him on the battlefield. His highest ambition is to be the leader of a special combat team, and to get the combination retrofit everyone has been talking about."

TF Club have announced details of their latest Transformers Classics / Transformers Universe add-on which has been dubbed TFC-004 Gears of War.  The set is a weapons pack and includes shoulder missile launchers for Transformers Universe Sideswipe / Sunstreaker and Transformers Classics Mirage, a ladder for Transformers Universe Inferno and a transformable "Autoscout" cassette which appeared in the Generation One episode "A Prime Problem".  The Autoscout cassette has been designed to fit inside Soundwave and Blaster.

Fun Publications have sent out an email as well as updating the Botcon website with details of the first hotel for BotCon 2009, confirming that it is the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel. Many people, including ourselves, had already worked out where the hotel would be (due to previous conventions in the area), with several fans already having made their reservations.  Several types of rooms have already sold out so make sure you check that they have the room type of your choice before confirming any orders.

Thanks to S250 for posting the first image of the character design for a robotic Sari for Transformers Animated season 3.  At the end of Season 2 it it was revealed, as many Transformers Animated fan had already guessed, that Sari had robotic parts.

With 2009 right around the corner, we thought we'd give you a little run through on some of the things you can look forward to in the New Year.

• Transformers 25th Anniversary celebrations - more toys, more reissues, a special BotCon
• Transformers Revenge of the Fallen - the third Big Screen outing for the Transformers, and the second live action movie. We'll be keeping close tabs with Paramount Pictures UK to try and bring you more exclusive news, and hopefully something special around release day ... like we did last year ;-)
• 10th Anniversary of Transformers At The Moon - 1999 to 2009, our first website hits double figures.
• More toy galleries - We look to continue to photograph the 2000+ Transformers we own and will bring you more Exclusive galleries featuring Testshots of Unreleased Transformers, more Japanese Lucky Draw Transformers and the rest of your favourite transforming toy range
• New websites / new features (which we've been planning for 5 years) and hopefully, if we get time, a new look.

Here's a preview of some of the galleries to expect in January 2009.

4 more auctions have appeared on ebay priced from 99c to $199 for testshots of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Ramjet and Skywarp toys (although there is also an outside possibility these could be Botcon figures, though that is quiet remote).

The new auctions show that Ramjet has the original Movie Starscream head, whilst Skywarp has Movie Thundercrackers remolded head.

Yizhi has posted his latest Transformers Animated toys on TF08.net, this time featuring the Generation One coloured repaint of Transformers Animated Shockwave.

A descripiton of the images from the set of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, which appear in the latest edition of Empire Magazine, have found it's way onto the web.
