Simon Furman has updated his blog with another Script (W)rap entry.
A sort of combined deal this time around, a script (w)rap for Transformers
Nefarious #4 and also a pre-release teaser for the same, as it
hits stores this coming week (June 16th in the US, 17th in the UK).
Last issue saw Soundwave slip through the Autobots’ collective fingers
and this issue he’s decided enough is enough. The human organization
responsible for both the resurrection/usurping of Ravage and the
manipulations that landed Soundwave in trouble in the first place is
going down — hard! But the Initiative has tricks up its sleeve that,
once again, even Soundwave hasn’t seen coming. And at last we learn some
of the how and why about this mysterious and far-reaching organization
(which seems to have an uncanny grasp of Cybertronian technology) and
its coldly calculating director, Carter Newell. Just how long does his
relationship with the robots in disguise go back? What traumatic event
eventually gave rise to the Initiative? The answers will surprise you.
And, meanwhile, director of national security Theodore Galloway is well
and truly in the firing line — hunted by none other than Ransack! Things
are looking distinctly terminal in that direction! Nefarious #4 is out
in the next few days, with story by me art by the incredible Carlos
Magno. Don’t miss it!
Visit Simon's blog to view the cover of the comic and to leave him your comments

Auto Assembly 2010 Non-Attendee Pack Available Now!
Ticket sales for Auto Assembly 2010 are doing incredibly well and we are on
target to break all attendance records again for a European Transformers
convention as fans join us to celebrate our tenth anniversary year...
We do appreciate that there are many of you who would love to be able to
attend the convention but can't attend either because of distance, personal
circumstances or commitments, financial constraints or simply those of you who
are unable to get time off work so once again we are offering a non-attendee
package which will allow you to get involved in the convention and get your
hands on all of this year's convention goodies and a whole lot more
besides...
The Auto Assembly 2010 Non-Attendee Packages are £70 for anyone living in
the UK and £80 for the rest of the world and are fully inclusive of shipping
costs. While these are more expensive than passes for the convention, we think
they offer exceptional value for money. Why? Well, each non-attendee pack will
get you:-
* A Personalised convention pass with your own ticket number
* The FULL
Auto Assembly goodie bag containing a wide range of gifts (the earlier your
ticket number, the more gifts will be in your bag. Visit the website to see the
full details of what's on offer this year!)
* Entry into all of the Auto
Assembly 2009 Pre-registrant prize draws
* The Cybertronian Times Issue 11,
signed by ALL our convention guests
* IDW's Transformers Issue 9 convention
exclusive variant cover comic
* Auto Assembly 2010 convention exclusive
mug
* Auto Assembly 2010 Swindle keyring
* Auto Assembly 2010 Rattrap
keyring
* A personalised sketch from a random Auto Assembly 2010 comic artist
guest
* Three additional Auto Assembly 2010 fanzines from Transmasters
UK
* The Auto Assembly 2010 Pre-Registrant CD-ROM
* A copy of the Auto
Assembly official theme song, "Transform" 4-track CD single
* Ten entries
into the Auto Assembly 2010 charity raffle
* Proxy bidding rights for the
Auto Assembly charity auction
And more surprise items! To see more details of some of the items in the
goodie bag, you can see a full list, including an exclusive first look at this
year's convention exclusive postcards, on the Auto Assembly website.
This is the best non-attendee package we have EVER put together and is an
ideal way for you to get involved with the convention if you can't make it this
year and potentially your ONLY chance to get this year's convention exclusive
comic which features cameos on the cover from our guests of honour Garry Chalk,
Scott McNeil and Derrick J Wyatt!
Once you have paid your £70 (or £80 if you live outside the UK) there is
nothing more to pay. The only additional charges are for additional postage
charges that may be incurred should any competition prizes be won that we may
need to ship, or relevant amounts for any auction items that you may win.
We do admit that we had some difficulties with our packs for AA2009, but we
have managed to resolve all of these so we won't experience the shipping delays
that we experienced last time. We will have most of the content ready to ship
well in advance of the convention itself with just the autographs and final few
items being collected over the weekend itself with the packs being shipped a
week or two after the convention.
To purchase your non-attendee package, visit the Auto Asembly website NOW!
If you are able to join us, full weekend tickets are available and are £45 for
adults and £35 for children/students/senior citizens with under 5s being FREE.
Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) are just £145 saving £15. Limited
numbers of single day passes are also available starting from £18. Don't miss
out on your chance to be a part of what is going to be a great weekend for
Transformers fans everywhere!!

SlashFilm have posted an article regarding the third live action Transformers film, still as yet unnamed, which covers some plot details, confirmation that the film will also see a 3D release (as was expected) and just who the main villain will be this time around.
* Final confirmation that movie will be released in 3D. No word on if it will be shot in 3D or converted in post. Knowing Bay's obsession with film, I'm assuming he agreed on a post process.
* The villain in Transformers 3 is "Shockwave, the robot cyclops-turned-laser-cannon, who became dictator of their home world of Cybertron after the other Autobots and Decepticons journeyed to Earth." Makes sense.
* Bay claims "One thing we're getting rid of is what I call the dorky comedy" adding the The Twins are "basically gone" but comic relief John Turturro returns. Bay's "basically gone" comment seems to confirm that they have a short appearance in the film.
* In the new film Sam Witwicky is "taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime. "Shia has this great line: 'You know, I've saved the world twice, but I can't get a job.'" Okay, so Transformers is never gonna get a screenplay nomination at the Academy Awards.
* The plot also "delves into the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets. "The movie is more of a mystery," Bay says. "It ties in what we know as history growing up as kids with what really happened."
* Transformers 3 is the end of a trilogy. Bay says "As a trilogy, it really ends. It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending." It basically sounds like Bay is done with the series, and the ending of the movie is a finale of sorts.
* The film also features a set "built to resemble a dilapidated nuclear reactor."
