Today, the 7th July 2011, marks not only the 6th anniversary of the infamous 7/7 terrorist attacks on London but it is also the 5th year anniversary of the passing of a good friend to this website Brett Reynolds who was better known on our forums as Toughboot. Our thoughts go out to all of those who lost family and friends on the 7th July 2005 as well as to Brett's family. I remember both events quite clearly myself and I still find myself often wondering what Brett would make of the state of Transformers today.
Gone but never forgotten my friend.

"What happens next? Certainly not a reboot. We haven't lost the
Transformers. They didn't grow up or become expensive like Toby Maguire.
I don't know what happens next. I'm pretty sure there will be a second trilogy. I am pretty sure it will kick ass. And I am pretty sure some of you will hate it because it wasn't all bots."
That is what Don Murphy had to say when asked "what happens now with the Transformers franchise. You can read the post here, but you have to log in.

The Auto Assembly team have sent out another press release this evening
Fan Sales Table Returns To Auto Assembly 2011!
A surprise hit at Auto Assembly 2010, we are proud to announce that we
are bringing the Fan Sales Table back to Auto Assembly 2011 but better than
ever. If you have any unwanted Transformers that you want to sell but are
tired of spending hours listing them on ebay, then this is for you...
Once again, we'll have this sales table set up for all attendees to
bring their unwanted toys, comics and other TF and non-TF items to be sold
on their behalf all weekend. Just drop them off, name your selling price,
and let us do the rest! All we ask for is a small 10% commission which goes
towards the convention funds and that's it! There's no minimum or maximum
limit to the number of items you can bring to sell and you can collect your
money or unsold items at any time during the convention.
Last year we had an incredible range of items - G1, Animated,
Cybertron, BinalTech, Beast Wars, and loads more and plenty of DVDs, comics,
books, video games... something for everyone. We already have some items
confirmed for the table with more being added daily and you can get your
items pre-listed now by visiting the Auto Assembly website and downloading
the list and information pack.
Ticket sales for the convention are doing great right now and we're on
track for this to be another huge success. Over the next two weeks we will
be making a lot of announcements about the convention so stay tuned as we
enter the final pre-convention rush so get your tickets now if you haven't
already before everyone else decides to!

The Auto Assembly team has issued the following release
Geoff Senior To Attend Auto Assembly 2011!!
Even though Auto Assembly 2011 is only 38 days away, we're not sitting
around doing nothing! We're still busy making plans and working on more
announcements to make sure that Auto Assembly 2011 is going to be our biggest
and best convention ever! How are we going to do that? By bringing you another
guest, for starters...
You've asked for him so you've got him back! We're talking about noe other
than the legendary G1 Marvel comic artist, Geoff Senior who is making a very
welcome return to Auto Assembly this year! Geoff worked on Marvel's lengthy run
of comics in the UK as well as contributing the the Marvel US title, and the
first issue of Titan's relaunched title following the release of the live action
movies, but that's not all.
Alongside Simon Furman, Geoff is responsible for co-creating one of comics
most well-loved Bounty Hunt... err, Freelance Peace Keeping Agents, Death's Head
who has recently been revived in Panini's Marvel Heroes in a new story penned by
Simon Furman!
Geoff will be signing autographs all weekend and joining all of our comic
guests on stage in a special Q&A Panel on the Saturday. That's not all
though... To celebrate the return of Death's Head, we will be holding a special
Death's Head Panel on the Sunday where Simon Furman and Geoff Senior will take
to the stage, along with Death's Head's new artistic team of Simon Williams,
Jason Cardy and Kat Nicholson to talk about their cult character. This is one
panel you won't want to miss!
