Simon Plumbe has updated the Auto Assembly website with the announce of what has tentatively been dubbed as the "W.A.G Pass". This pass allows you to get a discounted ticket for your significant other into Auto Assembly 2012.
"What we are going to be adding shortly is a cut-down pass intended
for partners. This will still give you full access to the convention
including all parts of the programme for the weekend, but it will not
get you one of the Auto Assembly 2012 goodie bags or entry into any of
our pre-convention prize draws. Our 2012 Goodie Bag is going to be our
best ever and will include a copy of Issue 13 of The Cybertronian Times,
an IDW exclusive comic, an original Auto Assembly comic, at least four
convention exclusive postcards and many more gifts so there are a lot of
great items that will not be included which – in previous years – would
have had a selling price in excess of £10." Simon explains before going on to state that "This new cut-down pass will only be available in limited quantities
and MUST be purchased at the same time as a normal adult weekend pass or
as an add-on to an existing adult ticket. They are only valid for the
full weekend and are likely to be priced at £37.50 each, saving £7.50.
Combining this with our fantastic room rate of £60 per night for a
double room at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, what better way to
introduce your partner to the wonders of Auto Assembly".

As reported a few days ago Unicron appeared as in-stock on Amazon.com. Full Metal Hero then pointed out that Amazon would ship the item to the UK. The latest update is that the status is updated to out of stock.

The Auto Assembly website is currently being transformed but as apart of the changes Simon Plumbe has published a guide to Hilton Birmingham Metropole which he says should answer most of the concerns that people have raised thus far. Here is a copy of the post he made
"Some of you have been in touch with us
recently or made posts on various forums with comments about next year’s
convention voicing concerns about the hotel and the cost of attending
Auto Assembly 2012 and the potential lack of nearby facilities. We know
that there is nothing more worrying for convention goers than a move to a
strange new location so we have put together a brief guide about our
move to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole which should answer most of your
concerns.
You can download a copy of it here."

Our thanks go to Matt Marshall for pointing us to DeviantArt where he has uploaded a fanzine that was available at Auto Assembly called "The 'Best' of Transformers Comic-Magazin" which showcases some previously ignored German Generation One comic stories. Here's Matt's description. "The 'Best' of Transformers
Comic-Magazin'. This showcases translated G1 stories from a German
Transformers comic which was published from the later 80s to the early
90s. These are all official Transformers stories in their own strange G1
continuity, but have remained forgotten until now.
I'm sure people will be interested in this, it's a whole original
sub-continuity of G1 from the 80s which has gone unremarked upon until
now. Who knows what else might be out there?"
Who knows indeed, you can view the fanzine at http://blueshift2k5.deviantart.com/art/Best-of-TF-Comic-Magazin-254949927.

Jim Sorenson has updated his blog, Disciples of Boltax, with a new entry entitled "The Ark Addendum - Boeing 757 and The AllSpark Almanac returns". Here is Jim's description of the entry:
"Today's Addendum, and theme I'll explore for the next couple of weeks,
is the Airplane models from the third episode of Masterforce, Kidnapping!? The Targeted Jumbo Jet.
The Destron baddies captured airplane-loads of people to turn them into
the Destroids, a zombie-like force. Creepy stuff! This is the model
for Mont Port Air Flight 308."
Jim also blogs a little more on the return of the AllSpark Almanac and how its return came about.
