Reveal The Shield - Special Ops Jazz - Information
Special Ops Jazz was released early in the UK via the Irish toy chain Smyths. This meant that the figure, who was original set for a spring 2011 release, was released at the end of 2010. I picked up our version on the 8th Jan 2011 along with Turbo Tracks.

Reveal The Shield - Special Ops Jazz - Toy Review
Before I bought the Jazz toy I had been told that he was amazing and 'one of the best figures made'.
This had me pretty excited but after opening Tracks I was actually let down by Jazz.
Sure he is a really nice figure, but I prefer the finish on Tracks, especially on
his legs, Jazz looks like he needs more paint apps.
One thing you might notice in the photographs is that the Jazz I bought has
a couple paint marks on him, the most noticable one is the silver mark on the right side
of his head just above the optics. He also has a black mark on his right and a brown mark
on the back right section of the bonnet. The first two do distract the eye once you notice them, especially
the silver on the head which I will look to remove at a later date.
The toy has a fair amount of sculpting detail, but due to the lack of paint
apps, you tend to not notice a lot of them.
I'm also not overly convinced by the hands on this toy.
Something doesn't quite look right with the wrists.
The toy could benefit from a clip holding his chest down in robot mode as, at least on my version, it doesn't stay down, so his head disappears into his chest too often when you try to pose him.
Even though I have just been critical of the Jazz figure, he is still a really
nice toy and is pretty well balanced as you can see demonstrated in the photographs
where he is free standing on one leg.
If I were to rate the toy out of ten, however I would give him an 8 which still shows how much I like the figure despite my previous comments.
In summary, I think I was expecting more from him due to the hype that surrounded the figure,
the flaws with the version I picked up spoils him a bit for me and the lack of paint-application to finish the figure
and to highlight the details are a missed opportunity.
