Generation 2 - Camoflague Megatron - Information
The toy featured in this gallery is the Unreleased Generation Two Combat Hero Megatron, in camouflage colours. The toy, like the Blue Combat Hero Optimus Prime, was never released for sale, as the Transformers Generation Two line was cancelled before they could be released. This is the only version of this toy that we have ever seen, although we first saw it in 1999 as part of the collection of Paul Hitchens at BotCon Europe 1999. Some 9 years later Paul decided it was time to part with some of his collection, in order to finance other areas of his life. We had grown to know Paul quiet well over that time frame, and were very pleased to add the Camo Megatron toy to our growning Transformers collection (and a growing Unreleased Generation Two collection to boot).

Generation 2 - Camoflague Megatron - Toy Review
When we first saw this toy, back in 1999, we werent' over impressed with it, to be honest. We learnt that it was an unproduced colour scheme for the Generation Two Combat Hero Megatron, but we were not overly impressed with the camouflage detailing. We were fans of the mold of the toy, and the Combat Hero's in general, but made no effort to purchase the toy until 9 years later. Over that time we had already added various other Unreleased Generation Two Transformers to our collection, including Streetwise, Groove, Blades, ATB Megatron and Starscream, Autojetter, Autolauncher and a MOSC Blue Combat Hero Optimus Prime. It was this latter figure which prompted us to purchase the Megatron, as it meant that we had the set, although one was loose and the other carded.
I'm not entirely sure if we had ever seen the figure in robot mode, in person, before purchasing the toy, and was quiet suprised to see the robots black face inside it's white "bucket head". IT is very unusual for a Transformers toy to have a darker face then the head, but we liked it. The toys unusual camouflage colour scheme has also grown on us, although we felt the Blue Optimus Prime combat hero looked far better as a recolour.
We have no idea on how many of these toys were made, how many made it into collectors hands and how many, if any, carded versions were made.
