Generation 1 - Dial - Information
Dairu, or Dial as he is also know, was the last of the four Japanese exclusive cassettes that I purchased. I picked him up from a store in Umeda, Osaka, Japan on the 7th Feb 2011, almost 8 years after we bougth the first two Japanese cassettes.
Dail's partner is Zauru AKA Zaur AKA Saur. The actual name of the toy, Saur or Zaur is not actually know as when the toy was released the Japanese Katakana for Za and Sa changed.

Generation 1 - Dial - Toy Review
As a big fan of Dinosaurs the Japanese casssettes were high on the list of figures
that we wanted to purchase and but it proved difficult for us to pick up the last of the four. We missed
out on several auctions for the figure on Yahoo Japan but did not want to pay over the odds to pick
up the toy. Eventually Steve spotted him whilst on a trip to Japan in Feb 2011 and after some thought, decided to
pick him up.
Though his box art suggest that Zaur is suppose to be a Therapod, the actual Dinosaur figure
resembles more of a Ornithopod to us, which would make him a herbivor.
Dial transformers into the upper-torso of the cassette gestault Legout with his partner Zaur. Legout is a bit of a strange toy, his arms
are extremely flat and can often appear two dimensional. The toys head is painted but the paint applications are
not that great.
