The Mindwipe toy featured within this gallery is a handpainted resin hardcopy of the figure, used for promotional material such as the toy leaflets whihc came with the toy.

The figure is painted in a darker colour scheme to the final toy and features many differences with the mould. Due to the extremely fragile nature of the toy, we have not transformed him fully into Bat mode due to fear that he may become damaged or broken. Due to this, we are unable to give you a full list of mold difference, however we will list all of the difference that we have noticed thus far.

Vorath

1. Vorath's eyes are painted a different colour on the prototype (silver rather than black), which makes his face easier to see
2. The small marking on Vorath's waist is smaller on the prototype to the final figure.

The gun

1. There are some molding differences on the gun, most noticable at the top of the side.
2. The barrel is slightly fatter as are the details towards the end of the gun

MindWipe

1. The wings of the hardcopy are completely different to the final figure. Not only are they a slightly different shape (as highlighted in the images), they are also a different texture, the hands are different. The wings are much more organic looking and the bat hands are far more detailed.
2. Some of the differences to the moulding of the wings are that the lump at the end is larger, the wings are less curved and thinner, the circle detail is larger, the ridges ontop of the wings are smooth and the joints which connect the wings to the body are a different shape.
3. The details on the outer part of the chest (the pieces that rotate with the arms) are different.
4. The bat feet are made up of a completely different sculpt. On the hardcopy, Mindwipe appears to have hooves as well as having extra detail on the outside of each foot
5. Midwipe's hips, near to the bat feet, are also are different shape. See the images for more
6. Like the bat feet, the tail of the prototype is a completely different scuplt. It's solid, more detailed (with the detail on the correct side) and overall is much better than the final release version.
7. The back of the robot legs are different with more detail such as extra grooves.
8. The back of Mindwipes calves are also different with extra details and are a slightly different shape at the heal.
9. The inner legs contain different details (rather than being bevels they are raised). The four points from the final toy are also missing.
10. The feet are different molds, they are bigger, solid and contain extra detail on the shin area.
11. The hardcopy also features different robot hands. Like the feet, the hands are a better shape and a competely different sculpt
12. The techspec cover is thicker than the final toy
13. The prototype features the originally planned "dashed" techspec readout as oppose to the final solid bars that everyone is use to.
14. Like the wings, tail, legs, feet and hands, the bat head is also a different mold. For a start it is a slightly different shape, but more noticable is the fact that the head is solid as the back rather than having the mesh look.
15. The final main change between the prototype and the final toy is on the shoulders. On the final toy they are flat, where as the prototype has raised hump on each shoudler.

There are many other smaller changes that we noticed on the toy but they are either too hard to explain in words, just minor ones. The best way to spot them is to simply look at all of the images and compare the resin hardcopy to the final figure. Overall we love this resin, being handpainted makes him extra special, but the changes to the mold generally enchance the toy, the original head, tail and feet just look a lot better.
