Device Label - Broadblast - Information
The Device Label Broadblast figure was originally going to be released in Japan as Blaster but the name was later changed to Broadcast. The figure was origially due for release in August / September 2009 but was continually delayed and at the end of 2009 all Japanese stores began to cancel the pre-orders as TakaraTomy announced that the figure would not be released until the Spring / Summer 2010. This news was wrongly
reported on many Western Transformers fansite who mis-translated the news and reported that the figure had been scrapped. When the Japanese stores then started taking pre-orders again in early 2010, these same sites were suddenly shocked by the apparent decision to release a "cancelled toy". We at Transformers At The Moon tried pointing at out several times that the figure has never been cancelled but were ignored.
The figure was eventually released in May 2010 under the name Broadblast, he was originally due to be called Blaster but the name was changed in the Autumn of 2009.
