Please use this thread to discuss the Gig Trasformers Swoop confirmed news story on the main site.

Many of you will know that we like the odd and rare in the Transformers toy collectors world.  Well now the Diaclone / Microman and Gig fans (or Pre-Transformers to most people) have something to celebrate.
Puffmarko has managed to get his hands on the first documented Italian release of Swoop!  Well actually it's the Pre-Transformers release from GIG in their Trasformer range.

Breaking news.. In Italy was just found a things supposed not exist. A
pteranodon GiG, a sample. All the italian community was sceptical; the
dianaut circle on the box wasn't on the original japanese layout.. But
the instruction booklet seems to be a unquestionable proof of
authenticity.

I repeat: among our community, we had a great number of perplexities
about the authenticity of the piece. Nothing against toy, that seems
totally original. Our doubts were about the box. A very well done
custom, maybe? Well, we asked to see some extra pictures, in particoular
some shoots of the instruction booklet: and we had them! And all now
seems to be authentic. Font size and font type.. colour of paper..
graphic style.. a moderate aging on paper, everything appears true. As
we know, this piece comes from the flat of the son of a GiG salesman (we
were skeptical also about it).



As far as today, this GiG Pteranodon is the only one specimen seen in 27 years.
