Reveal the Shield rubsigns
I've had a few of these figures for a little while now but never really looked at the rubsigns. Just messing about with them now and have a few problems:

Both the one on my Mindset and Chopsaw are rubbish. You heat them up and Chopsaw's does nothing whilst Mindset's is barely visible and an Autobot symbol to boot. Super weak.

Anyone else got similar problems?

Re: Reveal the Shield rubsigns
My Deluxe ones all work pretty well to be honest, Perceptor's heats up under the chest on its own some times.
My Windcharger one just doesn't work. A bit like some of the old G1 ones, no matter how much you rub it, no result.

Re: Reveal the Shield rubsigns
Yeah that seems to be the case with both of mine, although as i said, Mindset's kind of appears very feintly (as an Autobot *sigh*).

Mindset is an Autobot.

Only 2 of the rub symbols out of all the RtS figures I have work correctly.

360 MiniCons and counting.

Doesn't it outright show you the affiliation on the backs of the cards anyway? Thus rendering the gimmick entirely pointless?

I'm sure it shows you next to their name.

Will confirm shortly as I'm going to find a UPC code for them hopefully.

Yep it's on the cardback and instructions. Mindset is an Autobot. Means all the Deluxes so far have been Autobots.

The RtS line as a whole is very Autobot heavy.

Re: Reveal the Shield rubsigns
Shame really. I thought the whole point of Mindset was that he was a homage to the Decepticon from the G2 comic, that's why I thought the Autobot symbol was a mistake.
Hasbro suck.

and you had this epiphany when exactly??

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Re: Reveal the Shield rubsigns
I don't usually have a problem with them. They do some silly stuff, but compared to a lot of other toy companies they are pretty good.

I though Mindset was just part of the Cybertronian Empire, rather than a specific faction? Must reread G2...

I first noticed it on the Legends and found it on everything else too.

Yeah, this line is Autobot heavy and while we're getting ones that I want, my Autobot shelf is packed to the gills as it is! Shame that the few Decepticons being released are either repaints I have no interest in (I'm looking at you, Chopsaw) or in a line that was cancelled over here (Looking at you, Scourge!)

I don't think that they're outright Decepticons, but wear a Decepticon badge and pretty much are that for all intents and purposes. They certainaly aren't Autobots.

I'd probably have bought several Scourges had he been released over here, as it is I'm still waiting for mine from toyzandgamez.

On topic, whilst they are not that consistant, all of my rubsigns are working and are the right ones.

And it's a good thing they do have the insignias on the packaging, that way if you do get a decepticon Tracks you can prove that the symbol is wrong to ignorant sales assistants.

I thought Chopsaw was pretty cool, but then I didn't buy the first release.
