Re: Transformers Brags - What's your latest buys
Got these the other day, but didn't count them as mine until the trade was fully complete, but thanks to some trading for Windchargers I got;
NEST Armorhide HftD Tomahawk and Terradive. 360 MiniCons and counting. Click the pic to visit my site. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. |

Alternity Bumblebee - who is a lot of fun despite being a bit tubby in robot mode. The head is really really nice. I also liekd the venom stinger guns reference on his instructions.
HamStar Customs - Mighty Muggs, Vinyl & More. Not currently accepting commissions, will update when open for orders again. |

Re: Transformers Brags - What's your latest buys
Don't panic people! I'm back! I haven't abandoned you! What do you mean you didn't notice I was gone?
Off topic - I have my laptop back! Its ceasing to function is what led to me being absent from the board for the past month. On topic - Dark of the Moon goodness! Picked up Deluxe Ratchet and Roadbuster, although if I'm honest I was quite disappointed by the range of figures that were released today, at least at Toys R Us, I spent more than twice as much on launch day for ROTF. Ratchet was a little disappointing too, the vehicle mode is fantastic, but thats par for the course with the movie lines and the robot mode is barely better than '07 movie voyager Ratchet. Maybe it'll grow on me. Roadbuster is wonderful though, I don't know anything about the character yet since I'm trying to dodge spoilers, but the vehicle mode is great, he has a nice transformation that leaves a decent robot mode. Still undecided on the whole mechtech gimmick - the weapons are nice, but I'm not convinced that they're worth the loss of complexity of the figure itself, although quite possibly that would have happened either way, in which case it's nice for Hasbro to give us something to try and make up for it. Roadbuster again feels like a better example than Ratchet, the weapon fits well in either mode without looking too stupid and the self sealing ports are nice. A couple of weeks ago I picked up PCC Stakeout and Crankcase, which although nice, aren't really worth it if you already have the first wave figures. |

Re: Transformers Brags - What's your latest buys
Just bought DOTM Deluxe Crankcase and Starscream. Crankcase I'm a bit undecided on, the design is okay and has the potential to look awesome if done right in the film itself, but there's far too much flexible plastic on him for him to feel like solid toy. Starscream is Starscream, you either love or hate the design, but the figure certainly does him justice.

Re: Transformers Brags - What's your latest buys
Bit sad that I'm posting right after myself, surely someone other than me is buying movie stuff...
Went on a Leader Sentinel hunt today but no luck, so I settled for the Cyberverse version for now. He's okay, but he doesn't really feel like a scout, he actually feels more legend-y than some of the RTS legends felt! I do like the integrated storage of his shield, something the leader seems to fail at. On the flipside, this version has the sword stuck on the bottom instead. There must be a law somewhere that says Sentinel Primes can only store one weapon properly. |
