Auto Assembly 2011 -Toy Display - What would you like to see
Morning everyone.

Since Auto Assembly 2010 I've been thinking about exactly what to do for the toy display next year. I have a few ideas for some themes that I'm still milling over in the back of my mind, but I thought why not put it out there and see what kinda toys everyone would like to see.

Figure wise I can bring along pretty much anything from G1 through Armada, including exclusives etc then there are more gaps in the lines I have until you get to RotF where I only have about a dozen (if that) figures.

I've also got things like plenty of other merchandise from the 80s onwards, character sheets etc

It won't be Lucky Draws as I don't plan on putting together another public display of those unless I can get one of everything or open a museum with the entire collection.

I'm not going to make a decision this year (in-case I get my hands on something supremely unique and wonderful that could become a central piece) but it'll help to give me an idea what people would like to see.

I'll be honest, topping this years will be tough/

I think you should just throw Octopunch in an empty cabinet and let everyone marvel over how awesome he is. Display done.

If I were to come to AA2011 then I'd like to see some of the old leaflets that come with toys recreated using toys!

Some would be quite difficult to do!

Re: Auto Assembly 2011 -Toy Display - What would you like to see
how about an 'evolution' display, in in pop some top popular characters (Prime , megatron, starscream etc and have a volley of their 'versions' throughout the years, eg G1 prime, followed by powermaster prime (or Ginrai sepending on your mood) the 'nucleon quest Prime, then the action master version, the G2 one, the Lazer one, and so on (including RID, Beast wars Primal etc)... O.K. Prime might be a bit of a sod to do but it would be kinda cool to see his upgrades and reimaginings over the years all in one place Big Grin

Prime! Look I'm HELPING!!! OW! how does a robot get choked in a headlock?!?!?! whoa...Prime....theres a huge hole in your chest....oops...

hows about building the biggest micromaster bases possible? would love to see how big it would get if you used both factions to make the base. sure i seen one made up on a jap box . maybe advertising zone? anyway, if you can connect a micromaster ramp to it, use it.

That would be great, but I'm not sure that the cabinets would be the right shape. Would love to see it though if space could be found.

i think the micromaster bases/transports were some of the best g1 toys. for me a "base" is the one thing tfs need. size is always an issue. he man got castle greyskull, mask had that mountain/garage. i used to used hard back books to make my bases when i were a wee nipper. but now i just play with g1 countdown. i mean, i dont play with... yeah, yeah i do
