Please use this thread to discuss the Reveal the Shield G2 Optimus Prime news story on the main site.
It's been a busy news day for me, I've not posted this many news stories in years.
HK-TF.com member L-U has posted an extensive look at Reveal The Shield Deluxe G2 Optimus Prime. The figure is an updated version of the Geneation Two Laser Rod Optimus Prime (one of the best ever Transformers toys). The figure features amazing articulation and a sword, but i'm not so convinced on the head.
Check out the link for a look. There is also one on ebay for $150, if you can't wait for it.

He's certainly a must buy for me. Loving the doubled up rear wheels, that sort of thing is missed out far too often on Primes.

dont get me wrong, he looks amazing for articulation, but he looks so plastic. this is my gripe with the classics/universe line. some toys are awesome looking, some look like a lump of plastic.
example. cyclonus. = awesome . ironhide. = plastic thingy.
id buy this just cos hes prime.
but he does need a trailer.

Really not impressed with this guy, the original actually looks better. Will have to wait for the Scourge repaint or the United version I think.

He looks both amazing and cheep at the same time. Poor guy needs better paint apps. I'll be buying two, one to repaint as Nemisis/Scourge and one as Toxicon.
