very nice tips of the hat going on to the original series and the opening cobra propaganda reel was just fantastic
2 Episodes in and already the death of a major character
If this doesn't reinvigorate the Joe brand I don't know what will

Not utterly blown away and it didn't really grip me but that might have had something to do with some shoddy sound quality. Will be watching.

I'm expecting resolute repaints for the cobra troopers
not sure how they'd do the bio viper mind you
and dead people already......... more in the first episode than they managed in the entire sunbow series

I have that pie-chart on a shirt...
More importantly, I have some of my kids trained at school so that when I say 'Now you know...' they respond with '...and knowing is half the battle! GI JOE!'
...and they stick their thumbs up.
It's awesome.
I dunno if they'll keep W.W. dead though... too much $ invested in the character. Kids love him. He's a Jar-Jar for 2010.

Toyfare images - The Renegade Cobra Commander is going to have both heads - the one-eyed half-mask he's worn so far in the cartoon, and a chromed/silver 'battle mask. Looks awesome!

I think there's a lot of communication between the various franchises at the moment. The Techno-Viper and the new Hawk sculpt are tagged as being Renegades figs as well... but they're both very old skool.
